About Us

Match Charter Public School (Match) is an innovative, high-performing free public school in Boston. Our mission is to prepare students for success in college and beyond, particularly those who would be the first in their families to earn a college degree. Additionally, we intend this school to serve large numbers of English Language Learners.

Match currently includes three campuses, serving 1,250 students in grades preK-12.

Throughout the preK-12 experience, students at Match experience the following:

• A rigorous and culturally responsive curriculum

• Daily individual or small group support in addition to conventional class-based instruction

• An extended school day

• Well-trained and caring teachers

Our school culture is characterized by the following phrase: High Expectations, High Support. We have high expectations for our students’ social-emotional development and academic achievement, and we work relentlessly to help our students meet those ambitious goals. 

Children must be at least four years old to enroll at Match. Once a child is enrolled at Match, the student may remain at a Match campus through high school graduation.

Any child in the state of Massachusetts may enter an annual public lottery to attend Match; residents of Boston and siblings of current students receive priority. Match strives to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment in which all students can thrive and succeed in our school.
