OpenSciEd, grades 6-8

OpenSciEd aims to build the next generation of scientists by empowering students to ask questions, design investigations, and identify solutions to figure out our interesting and puzzling world. The instructional model uses a storyline approach in which students are presented with puzzling phenomena that elicit a variety of questions that motivate student learning. This approach aims to inspire the development of target disciplinary core ideas, crosscutting concepts, and science and engineering practices.
